Still have a few blooms...

It's getting cold now. The blooms are slowing down, yet there's still lots of buds. Not sure if they'll hang in there long enough to open up tho. We'll see.

Here's a few of the ones that have opened up...

    SPECIAL OCCASION

    SPIRIT OF PEACE

    ST PATRICK

And this is my MONSTER yellow Brandywine tomato plant growing out of control. It took forever to start growing this spring, but then all of a sudden it just went nuts. Only got two tomatoes off of it so far, and I only see one still ripening. Blooms all over, but it's now too cold for them to develop into anything. I'm going to dig it up as soon as that last tomato starts to turn yellow... IF it does! Oh and that's one of the two GINGER roses I got from Hortico this season. There are actually about a dozen roses planted in that raised bed. I had to plant them someplace til I could figure out what to do with them. They're totally covered in tomato growth! That "trellis" in the corner of the bed is actually one of he corners from an old patio gazebo that fell apart, and it's about 7ft tall, and the plant goes up over the top of it and spills out over the wire fencing there. I had to prune off a humongous chunk of it a few months ago because I couldn't walk along the outside of the fencing. I just wish the tomatoes tasted better. It's not a very good flavored one, unfortunately.

And here's one of my old mums that hasn't bloomed in yrs! Kinda pretty!

And here's a few chickie pics...

    Feeding time...

Gertie sitting waiting for her egg to come...

    Griselda doing her one-legged pose

and Henrietta looking better now that her hackles are coming back in. (some of the girls are moulting...) Now, if her beard would just grow back...

'Faberge' looks like a special rose. Love 'St. Patrick' doing his golden-yellow look. Everything's looking great.

Ok. It now looks like I need Harlekin,cl. What a rose! Is this very vigorous for you? So elegant. I can just see it next to cl. Crimson Glory. Thank you for the introduction.

Love the shape of GREY PEARL, but the chickies are lovely. Nice colour on CAROLINA GIRL. Isn't it just as well, you don't have any more tomatoes if they aren't tasty? Thank yo,u for sharing your lovely blooms and chicks.

    Thanks you guys!

Steven, that GREY PEARL is finally getting some height on her. And the blooms are getting bigger every time too. The color isn't exactly right in that photo tho. It's a bit more "grey" than that in real life. I love it!!
