i have sewer pipes running along wall in kids bathroom and in living room. contractor boxed them in, will be covered with sheetrook (i thought it would just be a bigger molding around room)

any suggestions on what to do?

in the bathroom it is only on the 2 walls showing in picture, should the tiling (which is going to ceiling) cover them, - bottom and sides or only go up to them? on the back wall with window there will be a deco tile and white tiles on other walls

and in living room, the box is almost 8 inches high x 4-5 inches wide (on 8ft 5in ceiling) - it is a small room around 13x12, and the box goes around entire room

can i put LED's under box or some other decor type .. should i go with molding and make it even bigger...what style....or is it best to just leave it as part of ceiling? looking for transitional/clean look
