I have two honeylocust trees: one is 'Ruby lace' variety, and the other is 'Sunburst'. The Ruby Lace is doing fine (now about 12 ft tall), but the Sunburst is only about 5 ft tall and struggles every summer (leaves look beautiful in the spring through early summer, then begin to show chlorosis/ leaf scorch in the dead of summer.)
I've seen only one mature Sunburst tree in the valley: one in Scottsdale (about 20-25 ft. tall). I've never seen another Ruby Lace besides mine. Has anyone grown this tree in the valley? opinions on how they tolerate our conditions?
