kitchen counter help needed!

We are moving along with our new construction and I'm having a hard time picking countertops.

My kitchen has a straight perimeter wall and large island. The perimeter will be bright white to go with windows, doors, and trim. For the island the cabinets will be a navyish-gray.

I had originally planned to do Cambria brittanica for all countertops, but I'm afraid it's not as bright as the perimeter cabinets and will look dingy.

Right now my options are:
1. All brittanica countertops (concern being the whites on cabinets won't go together)
2. All Cambria Queen Anne countertops (not sure I want so much gray as I was planning to do some gray paints, our fireplace stones are gray, and gray may trend out)
3. Do the gray Queen Anne counter on white perimeter cabinets and brittanica countertop on navy island (is having 2 different colors for cabinets and 2 different t countertops too much??)

Help!!

I would choose something with a much more subtle pattern. The patterns on both of those are so prominent that they are going to be very difficult to match up, and you will not be happy. (I've seen this problem time and again in the Design Dilemmas.)

In addition, the veining is not very realistic looking--no one is going to mistake these slabs for natural stone.

Diana, thanks for the feedback. I'm not concerned about the material not looking natural. I've looked and looked and think the brittanica is beautiful. My question is more concerned with how it will look on bright white cabinets.
I get what you are saying about how the veining would not match up. I'm trying to decide how much of an issue that will be. One slab would be on the island and the other on perimeter.

How much natural light do you have in the space? I have high gloss white cabinets and went with Cambria Torquay. I also have lots of natural light and I think the combo is amazing! Good luck!

IMO you either have an island same color as rest of cabinets and a different counter or different color cabinets and same counter everywhere but not both

Patricia, that was my original thinking as well. I think I just needed to hear someone else say it too!

I think I will go back to my original plan for brittanicca on the navy/gray island and on white perimeter.

Dillbert, we have a 10ft glass door off our kitchen but it is under a 10ft back patio so we will not have an extreme amount of natural lights. Because of this we did a row of cans between perimeter and island cabinets and 2 cans that wrap outside each end of the island. We are also doing 2 pendants above the island.

Now that I've decided to go with brittanicca on all tops does anyone have suggestions for white paint to use on perimeter cabinets?

I'm worried about one or the other looking dingy or dirty if they don't match well.

We will do our interior doors and trim in the same color we pick for cabinets, and vinyl windows does are white so I also worry about color differences in the trim around the windows.
