complete kitchen remodel help

I just bought a small condo for a temporary living situation and it will possibly be a rental after. I don’t have a big budget just want to clean it up and make it look like more space
I need help with:
1. Will 15 inch cabinets vs. 24 make a good difference in space
2. Will only a couple of top cabinets look ok
3. Will fridge(slightly larger) look ok on the opposite wall to where it is now.
4. Will it be better to get a range top only. And have no oven.
5. Will small dishwasher work
This is what I’m thinking:
1. I want white cabinets with only shelves on the right side (as you look straight on) .. similar to pic below
2. Floor is getting redone I want keep it light.
Main goals are to have it look like more space and keep the cost low.

if the door has to stay, take it out, get a full glass one, and rehang it so it opens on the other side. having a door open into your stove is ridiculous. plus, this gives you more light

or a door like this that pushes out

and if you can move the sink under the window and the stove to where the sink is, that would be great

Can you remove that door. Quite a hazard. What you are talking about will cost a lot. If you are renting? I wouldn't spend much on this at all. If you are buying or renting with an option to buy, I would wait until I owned it. Kitchens cost no matter what you do in them. Don't kid yourself.

It’s my condo. Will most likely rent it out in the future. I have another home which is primary residence.
I don’t think the door can be fixed. It’s to the back porch.

get rid of the door. or reverse the swing so it's on the outside.

no to 'no oven'. people want ovens!

no to the 15" cabs. you might as well put shelving.

If you move fridge across(have no idea what it will look like because I can't see anything), that would leave u room for a DW, if you really need it.

look into prefab granite countertops. they run about 400 for a 9' counter. hire a fabricator to cut it for you.

Do your own subway backsplash.

look on craigslist for a ss stove. look for floor models, slightly damaged or lightly used. Also look on there for countertops. sometimes people redo their kitchens and unload their counters. Look for remnants and leftover tile. great deals.

I can't see what's over the sink so do your shelving there, and next to it if you move the fridge.

Beth gave you a great “roadmap” and you can change the swing and door. Moving sink and plumbing might be a bigger challenge. Is their an unfinished space under this room? If so changing water lines and drains are more doable but costly. Be careful you have proper up to code wiring or you might have a whole house upgrade on your hands and that is costly and messy and time consuming. Could the kitchen be opened into the porch area? That might be a great solution. This current space is really cramped. I would check into that. Should be fun to really give this a fave lift for sure!

Well this is a condo so I can’t move the gas and sink. I do think I can flip the swing of the door but I will have to keep the door solid due to association rules.
I was hoping the smaller cabinets would help open things up but reconsidering that now.

Condos have requirements as who can do work in them too. It’s to keep DIYers from frying a whole block of folks’ electrical when some idjut rips down walls that he shouldn’t be touching.

You are in a multi family building. This is not amateur hour labor time. Your actions affect others.

You need to leave well enough alone. There is nothing really wrong with that kitchen.

We checked the condo association rules and requirements before we bought the unit. We have professionals working on the unit. Also, no one is taking any walls down or doing any electrical work!
None of those are issues.
