We are getting our doors from Simpson Door and they have 3/4 divided lights like your inspiration photos. They might have a supplier near where you live.

Many standard door manufacturers may have or may make custom orders like your photos. And local craftsmen do the same thing and may be less expensive. Have you talked to your builder?

Brea I would check the code for your area. That may be true but then again, look who got hurt badly in Irene. It wasn't us on the coast but those who were inland more.

Lovely doors -- especially that first one -- but are they practical? They give a thief a very good view right into your house (even if all he can see is an entry hallway, a person could get a pretty good idea of whether you're home -- lights on, etc.), and wouldn't it be pretty easy for a thief to put a boot through those all-glass doors?

Thing is, a thief can also look through/punch through windows, too. Unless you put them up at, say, ladder height, which makes this harder.

If safety is a concern, there is apparently a transparent film treatment that makes glass very, very difficult to break. Unless there are no other accessible windows or you treat them all, though, I’d think it’s pretty pointless.

Mrs. Pete - that would probably be a concern in a regular neighborhood but were on 19 acres of private timberland in the backwoods ... not saying it couldn't happen, but very unlikely.

The dog is real. The visible guns are not. They are located elsewhere for easy owner access.
