A mudroom in the garage?

Forget about getting your floors messy (especially during the cold season). Leave your dirty shoes here and put your slippers on.

To many opportunities for creepy crawlers to get into your stuff (all sorts of insects can get into your coats and pockets, shoes, hats, gloves etc).

This is a good idea for over sized garages, normal two car garage may not have the room.

I have never, in my 60 years, lived in a home that had a garage. I would love it. I'd also add a flooring area - either an indoor/outdoor rug or some tile.

Having a garage, I am with nidnay....too many crawly things in the garage.....leaves blow in, mud/slush from your car, tools, lawn mower, etc.....garages are catchalls at our house so not thinking it is a good idea.,

Unless you have a man door in your garage and it is heated. Expectantly if you have kids at home the garage door would be opening and closing all the time. Who wants to take off their shoes and coats in the cold. We only used our garage for changing when the kids when they were out playing in the snow. Our garage was heated though. I would strip the kids of their wet clothes in the garage and hang them up to drip dry in there.
