That's Shampoo Ginger. Lightly squeeze the cones and then smell your hand. You can't use it as real shampoo, though.

Paul Mitchell has a shampoo based on this product. It feels like you used cream rinse afterwards. It makes a hand lotion also. When the "cones" start producing flowers in August, you can start harvesting the liquid every week or two. Now that they are all dark red and old, they are starting to rot now.

There is also an OGX brand shampoo with ginger extract. It works pretty good but the coconut one is still my favorite lol.
