Hi-my husband (he’s the Eric) is a Navy veteran (20 years, 3 active) and would love to display a flag, especially for holidays like today. However, we have struggled with where to put it-a lot of the exterior is stone, we have wisteria growing around the garage, and the front wood columns would likely rot if we attached a flag holder ( they are exposed to a lot of moisture with the rain chains and the Houston weather). It needs to be easy to put up and take down-he wouldn’t want to leave it out in bad weather. Since we designed our house around the Oak in the front ( and it was stressed by the build), screwing something into the tree isn’t an option either...I’m attaching some photos of the house.
