I like colourful art or art in similarly coloured frames in a hallway. An ottoman might block traffic by the door, but a narrow table might work.

Not enough room for any furniture. Just do art.

The hallway appears to be too narrow to have art on opposing sides, particularly large format art that will be viewed so closely.

I agree that art might not be the way to go as you don't have the distance to actually view it as you walk by.

But, maybe a family photo gallery? Or a large metal sculpture on the long wall. Just something to break up the expanse of the hallway.

I would do a beautiful long oriental runner and if that isn't enough, change the paint color to something warmer and deeper. I don't think the hallway is wide enough for artwork. Maybe a skinny vertical full length mirror on small wall or art that fits that small wall that is a large enough piece (vertically) to draw the eye when you are walking down the hallway.

I do like something like this photos, last hallway looks similar to mine.
