Before and After 70s turned 2017 modern budget remodel

We had a GREAT time renovating this 70's mod home into an updated '17 retro feel. We replaced the floor, countertops, applicances and back splash. Didn't touch the cabinets. No paint getting anywhere near these original beauties!

The harvest gold appliances. Ahhhh 70s.

Removed popcorn ceiling, removed top of bar, added back painted glass and stained the brick.

Those bar stools are literally from the 60's. That travertine floor is too. Ha!

90's floral wallpaper! Under the floral was gold and orange and bronze print. It was awesome.

Floor had to stay. We couldn't afford to replace it. Again, kept the original cabinet stain. It's 70s yellow/tan but I love it. Put in a window and replaced the counters and faucets. Mirrors from Ikea.

Eh, This entry was just Eh.

When we have some money again, this entry will be wallpapered. Until then, I'll paint half a wall because why not?

Very nice! You were able to make significant changes while maintaining your budget. I personally liked your comment, "No paint getting anywhere near these original beauties!" Painting cabinets is often the quick fix and sometimes the beauty of the original wood isn't valued. Enjoy!
