We are replacing our torn up sofa with a sofa similar to the Restoration Hardware Maxwell model (similar, not identical) in a distressed look for modern rustic look. My question is, with the window right behind (and the need to be able to open/close) curtains, how wide should I go? Fit the space from where the wall juts out on the left (not tucking in) to the right wall or leave space like there is now to access? If we do wall-to-wall we will be climbing over the couch to close the curtains which we do anyways but gain more seating space. ideas welcome!!! Pardon the mess and I should note we are going with a standard sofa and no chaise. Thanks!!
