    Thank you for your interest. Slate quarried for roofing is dense, sound rock, and is exceedingly tough and durable. While it is labor-intensive and costly to install, a natural slate look will give character to a building unlike any other roofing material.

    What about larger knee braces, wood-stained to match the front door. Similar to the ones on this home's 1st story soffit. A detail bold enough to compete with the overall greatness of the house design.
