I’m interested to see if anyone has experience with this. When we ordered the new panel for our dishwasher i was surprised to find that the specs for the front panel didn’t change when we changed the model dishwasher we are using. A respresentative from Bosch explained that since the point of these dishwashers is that they look like part of the cabinetry, they are designed to fit panels within a certain range of sizes, so it wouldn’t be unusual for the specs to be the same.

Earlier this year we replaced our ten year old Miele DW with a new Miele DW, and reused the panel (as well as the frame attached to the back and the clips). If your new DW's dimensions are the same (or close enough) as your old one, you should be able to reuse the panel.

My daughter (in Germany) just replaced a 15 year old Miele dishwasher with a new Siemens - panel fitted perfectly. German dishwashers are standardized.

Oh ... that's sobering ... I'll do careful measurements

I have interchanged panels from various European dishwashers (Zanussi, Bosch, Miele, some Chinese brand and Electrolux) and never had a problem. They were all 24" units.

It depends on the panel and the dishwasher. Since the existing panel was made to fit Miele DW you have to see if the existing panel can be modified to fit Bosch DW.

If it cannot be modified, your 10-year-old kitchen is not that old, you can get the same panel for your new DW, all you have to do is contact cabinet Manufacturer and give them your DW model and they usually will make a panel to fit.
