Can you polish this silver

I have bought silver-plated items before but they often tarnish and become unusable. Wondering what the care is for this shaker and will it last. Thank you.

    Shaker will last

    It is silver plated so it should be cleaned light with silver polish if needed

    Generally you should buff it with a soft cloth to keep it clean and shiny

    Use polish only if you cannot buff out
