Okay. Is the swag look out? Should I get two panels instead? I'm not sure what colors to get. My walls are khaki and the furniture is black...

I'm not a fan of my sofa. I do love the walls but am not opposed to changing them. I have an 11x24 foot living room and its a very hard awkward space to decorate!! I have black floating shelves throughout too with black picture frames of our kids... I live brown leather but with all the black decor would it clash?

Definitely get rid of the window treatment. The same curtain rod can be used for draperies with grommets (popular now), but avoid curtains that hang from tabs.

Do you have any pictures so I can get a better understanding? I have a hard time picturing :(

Cassi, the swag window treatments are definitely out of style and since you already have the black theme going with your furniture there is no need to change everything. Inkwitch's suggestion of grommet drapes would look very nice. JC Penney has a very good selection of drapes either online or in the store so if possible check them out.

Your blinds r fine...just some drapery panels on a nice substantial rod will do the trick!!

I would hang them differently, remove it .fold in half to find the middle place the scarf on the middle of the pole and work with each haf at the time ,let it drape loosesy the way that you have it now looks too tight ,create lightness and flow ,

Jayme is right you do need a chunky......( "Southern" for substantial Jayme, LOL,) drapery rod. A rod that's too small will take away from the aesthetics of the new window treatment.

Let the curtains drop down to the floor and change the color (Lighted-color is better, and make the room brighter).
