Indeed, a photo(s), with close up of leaves and flowers, would help.

But yes, bees may very well be "interested" in the pollen now produced by camellias. I have carefully observed them close (I was checking if they had built a nest in the camellias) but they were busy bees, some had pollen in their hind legs.

It is more common to see this activity now in warm locations thru Jan-Feb. Cold snaps may affect camellia bloomage and the presence of the bees.
