Some exotic stones do have resin in them. We are adamant about not buying stone that we know has resin in it. We had a big problem recently with an Amarone granite that we bought under the impression there wasn't resin. This particular slab did not have resin (or at least problematic amounts) in it and we were able to fabricate and polish it with no issues. There are things we can do to permanently darken edges on some stones, but a lot of resin can be impossible to match up later. I don't think we had to do anything on this granite. This is a great stone, you just need to make sure you work with a reputable fabricator who will be able to talk through all the pros and cons of each particular exotic stone with you before installation.
