It went down beautifully Babka! The long goodbye is certainly not an issue for me.

I'm not one of the "warm winter" folks, but I just finished putting my hosta pots away for winter this week. I had to cut some leaves off and some of the leaves pulled away from the plant. But then there were some pots that had leaves which were limp and lifeless, but couldn't be pulled off. I stopped cutting the leaves off and am leaving them be as is. We did have a frost, but temperatures have been relatively mind so far. I just wanted to have everything winterized and be done with. Babka your Touch of Class was going into dormancy with such beauty.

Mine finally went down except for a First Frost in a pot on the north side of the house which is finally starting to yellow.

Back in Sept. my June Fever had a bad case of spider mites, and I have found that the best way to deal with that is to cut off all the leaves. It sprouted new leaves with a vengeance, and they were all still green. when I cut them all off.

I am in charge. Go to sleep NOW, I said as I wacked off all the remaining leaves. green or otherwise, of all of my hostas...put a few grains of Sluggo Plus into each pot, covered them with hardware cloth and said sayonara.
