You doesn’t have to change this siding. All you need is to paint it choose a color you think suits the area/region and climate. I would o with either white or an off white. Roof goes with any color, Good luck congrats lovely home.

Also keep the wooden windows but change the garage doors to more modern standards. Keep the landscape simple because the house has all the angles and stands alone very well.

I love the siding it's beautiful, rustic and contemporary. I would choose a grey stain and paint the trim. You could also pick a spot to add cedar shakes to, to break it up. Keep the wood ;)

I think you should also do some landscaping. It would break up the largeness of the house and soften it. Especially on the long stretches between the windows at the front. Choose plants that are low maintenance but add colour like black eyed Susans with Rhododendrons behind them.

I wouldn't touch the siding or the windows. What the house desperately needs is more landscaping and less driveway.

Spend the money on new garage doors and some landscaping. I think the rest is great but if you really hate the brown then I would suggest some greys for a weathered cedar look but really not necessarily in my opinion.

Think restoration. Not remuddle. The issue isn’t the house. It’s the landscaping. And your attitude towards the house that needs to change to appreciate it for the great home that it IS.
