I love your grasscloth and the color! Have you considered using the cabinet to hold liquor and glasses etc on top? That way you could hang a large painting above. Something light in color to make it stand out against the darker walls. I think a lamp or two would look great as well. Have you considered adding a small coffee table or a small martini table?

Trays for liquor and glasses, art for interest, lamps for light. Smaller round table between the chairs. It should arrive 1" below the chair arms, and be large enough to set a couple of drinks or wine glasses. Angle them to soften the space. I don't care for the rug style, and it isn't anchoring the seating. If you want a focal rug, try a hide or flokati.

I agree with AK, the colors are really pretty.

I would do a large lightly antiqued mirror on the sideboard wall. For the cabinet top I would use a few collectable trays to sit nice crystal glasses, a crystal decanter and a few bottles of your favorites on. Since the room is small and not a wet bar I wouldn't go overboard on a full bar scenario. Some things could go in the cabinet. Go less but nicer. A beautiful lamp would work as well. For art I would look at Darren Thompson paintings. They are very slightly moody and reasonably priced, he does a lot of bar scenes and a real lot of people reading paintings. Are you also using it as a reading room?

Anyway, take your time collecting a few special things and not just generic stuff to fill the space. Make people want to stop and look.

I would do a coffee table. something small. I can see an oval to soften the edges. I think it could add interest. However, a rectangle would work too. Are you fond of metals? I see silver in room but can imagine a gold tone would look lovely with the browns and blue walls.

If it were me, I might consider using two martini tables. You can easily move them around. I have one in front of my sofa and love it.
