How about a rectangular tufted ottoman so everyone can put their feet up? I don't know what you mean by 2" shorter than the sofa. The coffee table usually needs to be within reach for those seated at the sofa. So about a foot and a half. Try taping out 1-1/2' from the edges of the sofa, then measure the space that left.

I would use a trio of "C" tables instead of a coffee table. I'd also put the sofa on the end wall with big art above it. Move the bar to the wall between the dining window and the kitchen. We need to see more than 2 walls to help with anything more.
