Does the green backsplash lean into teal or emerald? I would pick up that color in a fringeless rug (maybe even an indoor/outdoor one) until everyone grows up a bit. Add patterned pillows that have the green in them and find some striking glass or pottery pieces for the mantel to sprinkle it a round even more.

You're looking for a cushion option for the chair, correct? I think a kilim would look fantastic, or floral with blue, green, and red/coral, or unbleached linen-look.

For toss pillows on the sofa, follow the lead of whatever you choose for the chair, probably bringing in the colour of the backsplash in some way.

Also, my dog was a string chewer too. Anything long and thin was just too tempting for her. We lost more bike helmets because she chewed the straps in half... She grew out of it :-)
