Which is usually larger? I'm working with an 8' ceiling. DH wants base molding that's 4 1/2" and crown molding that's 4 1/2" end to end but when installed looks like 3" on the wall and 3" on the ceiling. I haven't been able to find any guidance if one should be a lot larger than another. Any ideas?
