Where are you concerned for it to backflow? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks for the response! In general, there is a requirement to have backflow since I am branching my main water supply. I want to have a central sprinkler "station", and so want to have a bunch of zones. Few of those zones are regular sprinklers, and couple are drip zones. I was trying to have one prevention device for all of them, and hadn't considered the tall drip planters. So, this is an attempt to consider that.

I've found 2 sites that say you'll need to mount the backflow higher than the sprinklers (or emitters in your case).

It it possible to raise have the hose from the main water supply go 12" higher than the the highest emitters before feeding into the central sprinkler station?

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I was hoping we can do something like check valves just for drip. I am pretty sure the alternative is double-check valve, but I think those need to be checked yearly, and I'd have to pay for that. So, that sucks. I'll have to look into where and how I can mount this backflow device :(

your two options are avb's on each station which need to be six inches above the highest emitter on that station or a double-check valve at the main branch of the system which will handle the whole system.
