3/4 Shower Door - How well do they work?

I dislike shower curtains and really dislike the door frames so I'm looking at putting in a 3/4 frameless shower door. I'm wondering how much water splashes out? Do you need to put the shower head higher? Does the shower head need to be more angled? Pros? Cons?

    This is a children's bathroom so we used ¾ shower door that swings away so the mother could more easily bathe her child. There is some overspray of water onto the floor but not too much.
