How do you keep the porous marble counter top from staining from foods if there is a new sealer does it last years my marble top in my bathroom is very sensitive to

    You can't completely keep marble from staining or etching, it's just the nature of the natural material that it is. It's porous and soft. If your counters are polished, they might show more flaws, so honing them is always an option.

    You should clean and reseal every year or two. I have light marble counters in the bath and kitchen and they still look gorgeous 6 years later. Marble will last forever with just a little care!

    I'm debating polished or honed and so confused. I've already taken the plunge to do marble against many peoples advice but now they are trying to talk me into honing it. I'm already honing my granite black island and am really battling. Can anyone shed some light especially the person whose had them for
