I made a point of being ahead of scheduled the last 2 year and this year. No rush here. I had all the spare time for each surprise to handle with out stress or worry. Citrus facts, surprises are a fact of citrus care. I am retired with hobby jobs that I do for the best customers from the past years of full time work. the extra time helps

As i said in another post, no way am I laying dormant. Trees, this old house and getting ready to teach next semester are keeping me busy.

Suzanne, you made me laugh. I can say the same for me.

No dormancy here...still have wrapping to do among many other things. Trees are holding their own so far...fingers crossed they stay well through winter.

No laying dormant here, family/kids to raise and ENTERTAIN (roll eyes) :)), job, plants to take care of, flowers to grow for community front yard garden and thousand other things to do.

Susan, you are the most active person here, i do not know how you could slow-down. Laura, if you find a long box, it might be something for me, it has 4 strings. Santa, forgot me last year send stuff somewhere else. I know he has your's and my address mix-up.

No rest for me yet. We have lots of plans for the garden area and the front yard. I am going to be digging in a border around our citrus trees, tilling and leveling the garden and putting in a stone path. With the short days I don’t get anything done outside of weekends.

B/E, looks like i can use some of your idea's.I would like a wall also to hold the large citrus and figs from falling( very strong winds).

Even with a addition it still going to be crowded. It will be interesting with the growth this coming season how much more crowded my shop and garage going to be.

I will be doing some experimental grafting this late spring, that would add more grief .

I am trying to go simple for now with a straight brick divider between the area that will eventually have grass and the citrus area near my back fence. I am using some of the brick with curved tops to make that divider.

As for the garden things get a bit more complex. We have some stones up front we will use for a circle walkway and then we got over 200 free grey bricks on Craigslist to make a path. My wife has figured out the pattern and it will be a lot of manual labor to level everything and then put in the path.

i also want to try grafting but have too many other projects to work on atm. :D

Plan for today, shoveling snow into buckets for melting and using for my trees and carnivores. How about that for keeping busy? What are you all using for your citrus?

Hello friends.. Hope you are all doing well! Sounds like you are all keeping very busy! :)

No laying around being dormant for me.. I still have a farm and household to run while the hubby works during the week, plus still have the plants in the gh to take care of.. Baking treats, and wrapping a few gifts for Christmas etc..

Speaking of laying dormant in your " last box", my father recently passed on from this world. That is why I took a bit of a hiatus. . :(

But, I do have some great news to share.. My hubby and I are expecting 2 new grandchildren in 2018.. A baby girl that is due in January (oldest son and daughter-in-love) and another grandbaby due in May. (Youngest son and daughter- in- love) ♡ We have been busy designating a spare room into a nursery. That will be three grandchildren for us and we will be super busy loving on all of them! ♡♡ I have also been trying to put some energy into sewing baby quilts and bibs.. Never seem to have enough time in the day, especially when it is dark by 4 pm and we are ready for bed by 8pm.. lol
