    Nice job on your room.

Yes, I think you need to balance the horse with another horse.

Coffee table looks fine. The only reason I would replace it is maybe some fabric would warm things up. Love to see a kilim rug covered piece on the jute.

I'd swap out the coffee table for something easier to clean (wood) and with less going on visually. Something like the tables in the photos below. Good luck!

I'd add some fabric under the tables tray, a runner or place mat, even a small rug works some time and adds nice texture...i would take the first suggestion and add that second horse...go big or go home! Trust your tastes it seems to be working for you!

Never thought about adding another horse picture! Love that idea! Where did you find the picture of the horse in your comment Judy?

Nice room! Can you pull the sectional out from the wall a bit? To make room for

    any of these 3:

    1. a good looking floor lamp

    2. an indoor tree

    3. a console table

    4. Have fun with it! Hope this helps?

I don’t like 2 pics that are so similar, and the same size. I also don’t like jute rugs, they feel horrible on bare feet and IMO this space is crying for a bit of color

My biggest problem is that couch pushed into the corner. Couches need to be pulled away from walls toward the center of the room. I can't tell what else is going on in that space, but I would reposition the couch so the L shape is in a different configuration. If it has to stay where it is, then at least pull it out enough to fit a sofa console table behind it. Then put some visually interesting decorative pieces with some height on it that will tie that horse picture into the table and the sofa (use pieces that have some texture, the same muted color scheme, and some type of faux "life" piece like decorative branches in a tall thin vase). I would then leave the other wall blank because it looks like it's a very small room. If you have to put something on it, then put up 2 or 3 smaller complimentary pieces to the horse (don't do another horse, that's too much horse, and don't do one other big picture, do several smaller pictures that in total take up the same amount of space as the horse picture). Then put down your large jute area rug, but then get a soft muted color patterned rug in a little smaller size to go on top so that you can see the jute only around the edges. Then upgrade your throw pillows, those are too contrasting in color to your couch. Get soft muted colors (not beige) and get ones with texture (like your jute rug is textured).

I think a sepia antique looking map of somewhere you love would look great. I bought one in New Orleans (which I love) and can not wait to frame it and put it up.

The couch can't be moved! It's a small room! its hard to tell but the colors are cream, black, tan brown and very dark navy! The other Wall I'm still thinking about it! Again love all the ideas that you giving me. Thank you all!

I adore your room...it looks so warm and cozy. I like the coffee table crystalpea put in your room. Maybe a circle mirror...

My first impression was not of a farmhouse look. The wood and metal coffee table added by crystalpea does it!

Like the round mirror! Not the lamp , I have 3 lamps in the room already you just can't see it

This is to the left of the couch

I love your room as it is already! Love all the farm house stuff! I think I would have to agree that an identical size horse photo might be to much. Maybe find neat farm themed small things to hang together on the other wall in a group. I really love your pig pillows also. :)

JudyGDesigns....have you ordered from Great Big Canvas? Someone told me that GBC doesn't have good reviews.

If you were asking me how I mocked up the room, I used photoshop.

It's really a wonderful room already. It wouldn't be hard to add more color and texture if that's what YOU want. There are some great suggestions for that wall on this thread. Take whatever ideas you like and run with them and make sure you love the room even if a designer doesn't!

I think a gallery wall would overwhelm your small, farmhouse feel.

Did a few more mockups just because. The art pieces aren't quite farmhouse, but you could definitely find a piece that was the feel you wanted. Just wanted to give you an idea of what adding colorful throw pillows would do. 1. Blue wall art/ throw pillows. 2. Multi color wall art 3. Wood framed mirror with warm throw pillows 4. Floating shelf with a couple "leaning" pieces and a planter. I think you have so many options and it'll look great no matter what. Didn't do accurate scaling, but you can kind of get the ideas.

I love that wood mirror! Where did you see that? I think that would be perfect!

I got my horse picture from wayfair and the pillows as well!

Just do a google search for "live edge mirror". That particular one is the second result and comes in a set of two, but you can look at all the results and find one that is the correct size and price point to go opposite your horse portrait.

Just giving an update! Added an old chicken coop door on the wall and got our new rug! Loving the room now! Thanks for everyone input!

That looks very nice. Glad you didn't add another painting and your horse can now be the star!
