Beautiful Minneola from Harris

It just arrived about an hour ago and it's woo-hoo time! So pleased. Nice and green and in beautiful shape. I live in Oregon in a non-freeze area of the state, but the tree had to switch trucks in Portland where it is freezy. No cold damage. Beautifully packed, a little bit of root exposure in transit, and a few leaves with leaf miner remnants. But another gorgeous tree from Harris!

It's 5.5 feet from soil line to top of tree. I grow indoors with overhead T5HO lights and this tree is going to be too close to the light so have to prune the top a little. This tree was only $50 and massive. I'm tickled.

That is a beautiful tree. If you want it to do well you should repot it into a larger container.

I've not had luck with FW last two times, but got a wild hair, took a chance and bought a Yosemite Gold this morning.

Good news- Ruth at Harris said she might have Gold Nugget this spring!

Brian, I like the little zigzag in the trunk too :) Like Zorro made his mark.

Look at you ordering in the middle of winter! You are brave and good for you! It's nice to see such confidence in many here whom feel they will take good care of their trees all winter

Well...I actually asked Ruth to wait until spring to send but she encouraged me to go for it. Said that she'd watch the weather in advance of the path she knew it would take. Trusted her but chewed my fingers up, and the trust wasn't misplaced. FW is in Winters CA not that much further north from where I am so I figured my chances to be pretty good. Fingers crossed X

Wow. Huge box and nice tree. And it is already pruned to be a tree (vs bush) so you got a nice foundation to work with. Nice score!

Beautiful tree. All my trees from Harris are doing well so far. Shiranui has little fruits groing and a new flush of leafs.

Wow! Big tree. I just love Minneolas and would love to try growing one. Let us know if and how well it fruits for you. Does it need a pollinator?
