Help With Master Bedroom Layout

Hi all,

I need some advice on how to layout my new master bedroom. I would like to incorporate some furniture pieces I already own which includes a white upholstered bed frame (pic included) and a white IKEA Malm Dresser (pic included). I have also included a layout of the room.

I am struggling on how to arrange the room since I would like to include the following if possible: 1. a small work space since I work from home 2. TV with a TV stand - I am looking at the IKEA Besta stand in white for additional storage. 3. a sitting area near the bay windows with two chairs or a lounge chair.

I do not necessarily need a work space, I can possibly use the seating area to work with my laptop. However, I would like to have storage for a printer and paperwork. I still need to purchase nightstands. I own a contemporary glass desk but I don't think it fits well in the room due to its size. My style is modern/contemporary. Currently, the walls and carpet are beige which I would like to change. I am leaning towards a white, grey, black and blush color scheme. I am open to any suggestions. Thank you!

I like the floorplan, especially the generous bay windows. A couple comfortable small scale chairs with a small coffee table between for sure. I don't think you should do a tv on a stand at all; given that you want a home office function, how about the whole wall opposite the bed as a bookcase, the center of which would hold the tv, and coming out from that perpendicularly, a small work table, or a table on wheels that could stow in the bookcase when you didn't need it, but rotate when you do. The ideal seat would be facing the bay window, although that puts your back to the door, not ideal. Surely Ikea sells wall units like this? Ideally there would be some lower cabinets deep enough to hold and hide equipment and supplies, so what you are looking at from the bed is a nicely curated arrangement of books and objects, with a 40 or 50 inch tv nestled between. It would help if you could post dimensions so i can do a layout for you. I would caution against office space in the master since it is not conducive to restful environment if you can place elsewhere. We can design storage into the space but think hard about actual office space there.

Make an "office" elsewhere. Please. The bedroom is respite from work. Or it SHOULD be.

Move the dresser to the wall opposite the bed, add a chair or two in the bay.

I would put a seating area with a middle cabinet where you can house the printer ..and little table opposite the bed perhaps a book case like the first person suggested ...you can make it look less like an office but a seating with areas for books , printer ..X and face the room rather than sitting in front of a wall . Lovely bay window ..how about a bench in the space wide enough ..to rest your head body and soul ..and looking out the windows .... Nice space !
