The issue is the cool gray paint doesn't go with the warm beige floor tiles. If I were you I would repaint a more greige color so that the warm and cool tones aren't fighting so much before adding art.

If I paint the walls to a lighter grayish beig would that help? Or just do white... we can't afford to change the tiles now..

can you afford to paint then? it shouldnt cost more than tools and a bucket or two of paint i assume

that will transform the room.
otherwise you can try to go for a tuscan look, if you want. make the walls similar to the ground in clay colors, add some roch red or orange tones in art, towels and change the lighting to warm and dim for some nice flair

I think just painting the walls a warmer grey or a more beige shade will fix it. I would add a rug with a little bit of orange or red in it.

That sounds nice! What color for the walls were you thinking? My whole downstairs is revere pewter by Benjamin Moore. Unfortunate we are stuck with the tile for now otherwise I'd do light gray long tiles.

Before changing out painting, flooring, tile, etc. I think the easier fix is to find a nice fabric shower curtain to tie the warm browns and cool greys together, then add some complementary artwork and towels and it will look great! I think because you also have the brown in the floating shelves, it works, it just needs an anchor to tie it together. I have the same vanity, BTW, and really love it - it's a huge space saver but still has some good storage. If yours is the same as mine, it's also a dark chocolate brown stain, correct? I'd also suggest a wire basket to hold your hand towels on your shelf, and some greenery or a fake flower. Here is a cute bathroom vignette on shelving similar to (but deeper) than yours.

For art, you might consider a mini gallery of vintage black and white prints framed in brown rustic wood, like the first image below, or just a wood sign to have another brown/wood accent in the space.

Yes Rebecca same vanity as you described! It's just as you or anyone knows we've already spent so much so to not have to do anymore would be great lol. But if I go lighter on the walls, would my oak shelves still go? I'm so thrown off.

Any color, really. What colors speak to you? Coral or burnt orange would be really pretty, cranberry, or even navy blue, which I always love in a bathroom because it looks clean and crisp, and would work well with the browns and greys.

I love the subway tiles on your walls. I did, that, too, when we remodeled our small hall bathroom. There are plenty of BM greige or beige colors that would coordinate with the Revere Pewter in the rest of your home and look nice with your tile floors. For art, I would find a large, colorful print for the end wall, double mat it, and frame it in white or maybe a brown that coordinates with your shelves. My bathroom is painted SW Argos, and the vanity and wall cabinet are two shades darker. The only "color" in the room is in the prints. I found this one online for $14! Framing was a tad more (like, a lot!) The large size would fit your end wall very well.

Your bathroom is already looking better! I would simplify the hanging towels to solid colors only, and lose the tassel tieback since it is too formal for your bathroom. Maybe find a small basket that fits between the toilet and the wall to hold your toilet paper rolls.
