This is a gorgeous bath! For resale, go with the tub/ shower combo since it is the only bath. Although, I never use a bath except to wash our muddy Westie!

I would go with the big shower. I never use a tub. Big shower with spa shower head is more make sense for me.

How many bedrooms do you have? If it's 1 bedroom (meaning, not likely a family with small kids would ever buy it), a shower would be the most "useful". But if it's more than 1 bedroom, for resale, I would go with the tub/shower combo, so you don't eliminate the family buyer.

Do you plan on living there forever or do you think you'll move in a few years? If you think you'll move go with the tub 100% because not having a tub will detour a lot of potential buyers: anyone with children or pets or anyone who likes to soak in a tub (i.e. me).

I think the shower always looks so much more high end than the tub combo. My little ones always preferred to shower with mom, we rarely used the tub. Don't plan your remodel around someone's future dog either! :) People can work around it if they really like your place. Keep it how you will get the most use and enjoyment out of it. It looks beautiful!

Just make sure you aren't running afoul of any codes or real estate requirements. You'd be surprised what some locales require that makes no sense...

If you don't really use a bathtub, then just get a bigger shower. It all depends on your needs. Also, a bath/shower in a condo will be a key point if you ever decide to sell. Most people prefer the combo.

For best/easiest resale - put in a tub/shower combo

I would not want to live without my tub/shower. I have allergy and sinus issues and a hot bath is the only thing that helps me to feel better. Also for resale I do believe you need to consider the buyer...even though I think a big shower would be gorgeous!

Coming from a kitchen & bath designer ... I would scrap the tub and go with a decked out shower; ceiling mount shower head, wall mount shower head, hand shower, body sprays & a steam unit. If you're concerned about having an alternative water source you can also add a tub spout at typical spout height. It's a nice option if you need to fill a bucket or soak your feet.
