Yes, I think wrapping the gutters into the corner to catch that water will help.

With the seams in your roof, I think the gutter is the only option.

If anyone had photos of this kind of roof/window design that showed gutters or drainage soulitions that would be great.

You can have vertical splash guards installed where the arrows are shown. They will channel water down into the gutters. Diverters above the window head is the other option.

What does your roofer recommend?

Have not talked to the roofer yet. This is the first rain since the gutters were installed. Honestly though, I don’t remember this much water running down the stone before the gutters....maybe I just never noticed because I wasn’t looking critically with water management in mind.

This is a not uncommon problem with this design that makes it hard to catch surface staining spillover. One of our neighbours had his stucco home resprayed every other year till he moved. He didn't buy my idea that the staining gave his home character, a patina of age and permanence. You can see here one attempted gutter solution. (The stitch is Google's.)

Also, next rainstorm, check where the water from this open drop is going. If it's hitting the shingles, a downspout fixed more directly to the gutter would save inevitable damage to that portion of the roof.

@Worthy....when you write “hitting the shingles”, are you asking if this little downspout is touching the shingles? Not sure I understand what you are trying to convey.

Are you saying that it should be attached more directly to the gutter below it? If so how would you do that?

The reference was to the water streaming out the downspout. If the water is pouring onto the shingles, they will wear out rapidly.

I often see arrangements where an upper roof downspout just dumps onto the roof below. (Maybe the owner or the contractor thinks a downpipe directly attached to a roof is ugly.) To correct such a problem, I've simply attached the on-the-roof run with standard aluminum clamps, long screws and sealant.

Drexel Metals Traditional Black. It has no sheen (it’s shiny in the picture above because it was raining, but there is no sheen). They had several black colors that I didn’t care for. Their Matte Black was too shiny and very dark black (would have thought “matte” meant no shine, but that wasn’t the case). Here is a better photo of the color. I was looking for a roof that was not super dark black.

Most of the water is running down the sides of house from that roof. Definitely need a solution.

Not exactly your window shape, but this home has gutters that return to catch rain falling from the slope.
