Those are both really pretty colors. I myself am a fan of teal so I would use that! However, it depends on your furniture and your bedding and window treatments. Teal can be accentuated with Peach, orange, terracotta, or Rose, depending on the shade. Lavender can be tricky to match or accentuate, and it seems to me that the pink in it makes its charm wear thin pretty quickly. It's a little bit frou-frou! I've always liked a true light blue bedrooms, especially with Breezy white cotton Priscilla curtains, soft white bedding, maybe an old quilt on the bed, and open windows. Kind of gives a country cottage fresh air effect. Whatever you decide, have fun!

I think I would go with a light blue. Not sure why it seems this way to me, but I'm thinking that the lavender or the teal would make the dresser look too big, or too dark or...something.

I have Sherwin-Williams Tidewater on the ceilings and walls in several of my rooms.

It's the perfect shade of teal -- not too dark and not too light.
