Help ID old 1964 interior wall insulation pls

Hi. Opening up a passageway of shared interior wall of our 1964 duplex in se Arizona. Since we had asbestos in floor tile mastic just a little concerned. Is this a sprayed foam? Soft and crumbles to touch.

If it's spray foam, it's a retrofit. While a ureaformaldehyde-based foam (UFFI) was widely used, especially in Canada during the 1970s-'80s, in the end the dangers turned out to be less than thought. Which didn't stop governments on both sides of the border from banning its sale and use, though the US ban was lifted. To this day, in Canada, resale home agreements routinely include a clause on UFFI. I just signed one yesterday!

worthy, thank you for comment. Our foam is original from 1964, so probably a different chemical compound. Either way, I"m not worried right now. Mostly I"m guessing it is not asbestos.
