LG Viatera Muse Counters- backsplash ideas?

I have narrowed down my choices for quartz counters (island and perimeter) to LG Muse, Cambria Ella, and Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo. I have read a lot about the variation in Cambria's products and how viewing the slab before is necessary. Also, I read people having difficulty matching backsplashes to Ella. But, are there other suggestions to helping me choose between these 3 companies or products? If you do have LG Viatera counters, are you happy with them? And any ideas on backsplash to match the Muse, if I go with that one? Just gray or white subway tiles? Or something else? I haven't done cabinets or floors yet, but am planning on a white cabinet with medium brown floors.

Thanks!

you'll get a better idea if you punch in those search titles here on Houzz kitchens.

or just type in the name of the countertop under the kitchen heading. tons of pics should pop up for you

Muse is a new pattern and I don't think you will find many installed pics, but you can see mine at this link, I used a white arabesque with white grout https://www.houzz.com/discussions/pittsburgh-kitchen-mudroom-closet-addition-reveal-dsvw-vd~4948003?n=40

DrB477, yours is the only project I've seen with Muse on here. I love what you've done throughout your remodel (your laundry room is beautiful!). I was worried the white arabesque with white grout might be too stark since I'll have all white cabinets as well. But, I do like the clean simplicity of that backsplash. Maybe just a different color grout? Or gray arabesque with white grout? Or maybe large gray subway tiles with white grout. Or run muse all the way up? I know you've used LG viatera, so I'm assuming you like their products, but have you heard of any problems with them? I've been reading negative threads on Cambria and Caeserstone all day (variations in patterns, stains, or bad customer support) so am leaning towards LG now (I liked the brightness of Muse anyway).

Have LG Minuet with grey arabesque backsplash with white grout. Installed 18 months ago, love it no issues at all!

Hi jeannecardwell, do you have any pictures of your counters and backsplash together? Minuet is close enough to muse that it would help.

My counters are relatively new (installed June) but no issues. I'd run Muse all the way up if budget allowed. The kitchen LG shows on their website does that and looks great.

This is the only other picture I could find of installed Muse.

Maybe you should see the counters installed with the cabinets, flooring and lighting before you commit to a back splash. Sometimes you have to wait and see how it comes together.

Yes, good call Kathi Steele. I'm not going to buying anything quite yet, just wanted to get some ideas.

Jeannecardwell, that looks beautiful together! Thank you for the picture.

For those of you that have bought LG viatera counters, did you need to view the slabs before? I've heard of resin pools or variation with Cambria and Caesarstone which is why viewing your slab before seems to be necessary. The distributor here (Stonesystems in San Diego) allows me to view the slabs, but not necessarily pick out my slab (or guarantee the slab will be mine). I'm not sure why. Maybe its negotiable?

I have Cambria Bellingham. I did not pick from a slab. I think I got very lucky. Our installers were amazing which is why our contractor and cabinet maker use them. I have not had any problems with resin pools. I have not had problems with variations. I have not had any problems whatsoever!!!

Just wondering if a smoke subway tile backsplash would look good with Muse countertop and white cabinets and light hardwood

Where did you get that lovely marble tile? We are also installing the Muse by LG

Bree Roe I love your kitchen! I know this is an older thread, but hoping you might check it. What color white are your cabinets to match the muse and marble?

    Thanks!

    @Bree Roe

where did you get your backsplash and what color white are your cabinets if you don’t mind sharing. Thanks!

Hi! The tile was purchased at The Tile Shop. It’s a mosaic 12x12 subway and was very easy to install according to my tile guy. The cabinets were painted Cloud White by Benjamin Moore. I am trying to decide between LG Muse and Spectrum Pristine. I like Muse better but my sample looks little yellowy against white cabinets. Has anyone experienced this? All the pictures I have looked like this online look like Muse is very bright white. Thanks!
