Regarding Bathsheba

I know this is brand new here in the us , so I was wondering if marlorena would chime in or of course anyone else who grows it . I wonder if I need to put two on an arch ( one on each side? ) or should I place it on my fence to support it?

Also how is it doing for you and photos would be lovely as well ! Thanks! :)

    Lily... this is a very vigorous rose, sending frequent shoots from the base [my plant is grafted]. Not many thorns, mostly smooth the further up it goes and multi branching habit, lots of canes to work with... my plant hasn't lost any of its leaves yet either, so it'll be one of the last to defoliate before Spring. The scent is strongly of myrrh, and I like it best when it smells like freshly cut grass, which it does sometimes.

    My plant is growing up an outbuilding, where it has support, and a bit of shade from the building.

    Fine for an arch or fence I would say, but if you have 'Crown Princess Margerita' or 'Teasing Georgia' I think they may be similar and perhaps you wouldn't want another like those but this has less thorns, which is nice. I don't know about very high prolonged summer heat though, I imagine the blooms might crisp a bit.
