Furniture Layout, Color scheme and space issues.

Photo 1- Layout
Photo 2- paint color example
Photo 3,4- Living space (sans new paint job)

4ft, 5ft, & 12ft walls are a neutral grey
18ft, 10ft, & 14ft walls are Oceanside blue

I just bought my first home and I am completely obsessing over the above mentioned issues. I have had several sleepless nights! PLEASE HELP!

I think I've FINALLY figured out furniture placements. It was a struggle. AND I am still open to suggestions. Now, I am on to absolutely stressing over themes and schemes lol

We chose a soft neutral grey for the majority of the home ( Light French Grey - Sherwin Williams). The living room was large enough (I think anyway) that I decided to go for it with 3 large walls being a deep teal. ( All the walls in the photos will be Oceanside - Sherwin Williams)

Now I am torn between color schemes and theme. I am fairly free spirited and tend to LOVE color. Colorful things just make me feel good. But I am torn between my boho eclectic roots, and my chosen wall colors. I love the grey walls, but I think it is throwing me off. My current furniture and accents peices are as follows : Gold metal console table, Large Oval antique Beveled mirror, Dark teal couch, bright greenish/teal accent table, Gold antique metal vanity table, plum glass lamp with cream and mustard shade, cream color and mustard yellow damask style vintage (circa 70's) drapes. My wall decor is warm colors. Mainly yellows and reds with pops and green.

But now, I don't know if I can pull it all together. I wanted to pull (slightly) away from complete boho and add some elegance. I love my things, but I keep looking at grey and cream accent furniture and cool colored wall art. This has all come to a head because I am in the market for a chaise lounge and CAN NOT decide on a color. I feel like everything hinges on this one peice. It will make or break the central theme...

After everything that I've said, I suppose my question would be WHAT ARE THE RULES? Can I just throw in whatever peices I want and call it eclectic? lol I want it to feel connected, but I don't like match-y.

Also, again, I am open to suggestions and questions on my layout.
