I would remove the shutters, paint the house- brick and all one color and change posts from round to square and beef them up slightly

It is a pretty great house to start with. I would leave the brick alone and paint the stucco a cream colour so it’s not so stark. I agree that squaring up those posts would be a nice look, plus paint them the deep brown colour. Can you remove that little Juliet balcony from the centre top window? It looks a bit off.

It would be helpful to have a picture that enlarges. It's hard to see the detail.

I agree with removing the shutters. I'd also remove or paint out the Tudor style wood trim on the upper stucco and above the garage door. Also remove the flags. Larger lights on either side of the front door, and install them so that they point down not up.

If you want it less uptight, pick a fun color scheme. Run vines up your columns.

Paint will make a big difference, paint everything above the brick a color closer to the brick color or complimentary to it, nor so stark , and remove or paint out the vertical “Tudor” details. Paint the front door a color of your choice. I’d paint the garage door and pillars the same as your new color, it’s too prominent now. I’m not crazy about the balcony, is it not a functional one? If not, I’d think about removing it , but with a new paint scheme it might recede from view somewhat.

Great bones! I would start with beefing up the columns! That alone will make a statement. Paint the stucco a warmer color. Add some height in the corners with landscaping.

Would remove the portico and put a nice, smaller one just over the front door. Agree with getting rid of the faux Tudor stuff and making the house a single color.

Since the portico is part of your roof, it will be quite expensive to remove or change it, unless you were already planning to re-roof.

I like the idea of re-painting the white, but I wouldn't paint the brick. My neighborhood had a lot of brown/orange/red brick colors, and the trims in dull brownish-greens look very good with them. I'd paint the garage door a darker version of the upper part of the house.

If you can post some additional pictures from the real estate listing, with different angles and closer pictures, you'll get more and better suggestions.
