Stainless or granite would be ideal. Stay away from Quartz products which will fade in the sun.

I would also take into account tiles, bricks and wood (this one adequately protected). I agree with Darlene that granite (a light colored one) is also ok, but I'm affraid that stainless (the same as dark colored stones and other metals) could become overheated with sun.
