Hi,

How would you place furniture in our great room?

This is the space where the family hangs out, entertains, watches tv, reads by the fireplace, etc. We need more seating - something that would be flexible enough for holiday parties and for watching movies as a family. I think the traffic flow near the two sets of stairs is the biggest problem. (I marked the traffic flow with arrows). The kids run back and forth through that area a hundred times a day and it seems to be limiting our layout options. Also, the lower left corner of the room is dead space.

If possible, I’d like to keep the TV where it is located because it’s on a movable swinging arm allowing us to watch while we cook in the kitchen. But, if moving it would make life much better, we're open to anything.
