Fun to watch. It shows how meal prep has evolved for sure. And look how much more she prepares in a very small footprint.

I can’t imagine needing a 40 pound bag of flour at the ready. I also didn’t realize paper towels were a common item at that time.

What the heck was she doing when sitting down and bagging something up? I like that she used the iron to heat seal the bag.

It did gross me out that she didn’t rinse the soap off the dishes!

I absolutely love the corner upper cabinets. I think the countertop corners in a U are generally wasted. If I could do this I would!

I have and often use those colored Pyrex bowls!

I recall as a kid, one of my aunts had a large gas range with the built in pot as shown here for boiling potatoes. My mom always rinsed, but a different aunt did not. Washed the dishes in one bowl and stack them in the other to drain and for someone else to dry. Ewwww.

It does provide a different perspective. Back then, meals were made from scratch and it was a lot more work, not mainly because of more steps but because cooking from scratch is more work.

I think the dishes were rinsed. I thought the narrator said "the dishes are then scalded and dried" but we just didn't see it. Does anyone else think the narrator looked like Mary See of See's Candies? Very retro and cool video!
