My best performing bushes are from weeks roses. They are on fortuniana. Got few bareroots from Orchards, some 5 gal from Armstrong. No difference. They are all healthy and thriving here.

Weeks stated in their wholesale customer letter the material from the RRD outbreak field would not be shipped to California and the other listed states. I'm sure the California Department of Agriculture must also be involved.

They probably just shipped what they had in their other fields then. I figured they likely were managing what was being sent throughout ca and I got the standard.

Their letter warned their wholesale accounts there would be some variety shortages because the breakout affected rows of budded commercial plants. If you look at the J&P catalog for Weeks varieties, only one budded Weeks rose is listed, Surreal. They will provide it own root or as a standard (tree), but not as a budded bush to the listed states. If they are doing what their letter (and probably the State of California) requires, you received what was grown in another field, or perhaps sourced from someone else.
