Oh, that color is very promising! Not a bad start at all for a small grafted Indigo Glaze. Yes, it can take time and a lot of heat to really bring out the pattern well, I'm told. I have Indigo Glaze myself but I only got it late last autumn so I won't be seeing any blooms before next season. It has put out a few leaves.

Gill, Indigo Glaze is supposed to look like this when mature and grown well, supposedly:

So the petal pattern hasn't shown up strongly yet and is variable. Yours looks like it may be showing it on the upper right edge.

Here's a photo often used to advertise Indigo Glaze but I'm pretty sure the flowers aren't this bright a purple and tend much darker.

Thanks for posting the pics, Hyn. I was happy it didn't drop the flowers when that cold front moved through. I brought them on the porch which kept the temps up but lowered the sunlight.

Also have blooms on Helios and Shanghai Nights and hoping they don't drop them. Jody

Good luck with them! All of mine are winter dormant and awaiting the spring.

Here is a pic from today which gives me hope for future flowering as I can see a light variation. This is not a good representation of the color It is a different, kind of "dusty" blue/purple color - I like it. Jody

I think it s a beautiful flower. Now I am more hopeful of mine not blooming pink or red for years before it thinks about being purple. So far my other 'purple' bloomed red and pink but decidedly not purple so I figured I would wait and see if it got better with maturity and higher blooming temps later.

WoW on all three of those plants/blooms, they’re amazing! I would settle for the Indigo blooms, despite the lack of glaze, what a sumptuous colour that is. The other two aren't bad either!
