Hi there. I have an improved Meyers lemon tree which was about 15 years old, flowering and fruiting. I harvested over 100 fruit off it. A neighbor down the street burnt down my house and everything in and around it! I managed to salvage both my lemon and a bearers lime rootball and partial trunk on both. Both set out new growth months later well above the graft Union. Lime has not blossomed yet but lemon is growing grapefruit!! It has been 8 years since the fire. Is this possible? How do I revert back to lemon? Tree is 10 feet tall. Thank you!
