We are doing a minor renovation. Replacing cabinet knobs with nickel ones. Changing out the counter-top and backsplash. COLORS???? (We are keeping the floor, since it's still good and would involve doing the entire house.) The wall color can be seen to the left of the cabinets on one of the pictures...very pale grayish-rose (very neutral) color. The tiles are sort of a rose-beige with off-white and gray grout, not sleek but serviceable casual. Our furniture is a light cherry (2-toned, sample coffee table shown, which also shows our transitional kind of style). NEED COLOR HELP on counter-tops and backsplash, plus we will be replacing the sofa, so a sofa color-scheme would be helpful as well. We are not against repainting (even though we just did it last year). We live in the Florida Keys, so would like it to be on the lighter side rather than dark. Just hubby and me, no pets, etc. Would almost-white granite counter and subway tile backsplash be too might white? Off-white leather sofa?? Would blues/greens work in here? Hubby doesn't want the navy again, and I would prefer solid sofa...this one was too busy. LR/DR/Kitchen all in one area, think tiny!! Also, we have white wood blinds now, because we like the light control and are worried anything else would darken the place too much. (3 walls are all windows/sliders.) We are open to all suggestions. I am changing my mind almost every day Please help me!
