Bathroom window placement

My bathroom has a window in the shower. I have had problems with water seeping into the wall in the past and corrected it (I thought) by having the wall replaced and tiled. Now am having trouble with the grout under that window. Have been told it's not a good idea to have a window in a bathroom but the room is small and I like the light-any suggestions?
Should I take out that window?

We just completed a bathroom with similar problem and closed in the window with glass block. Looks great, gives privacy and light.

I've had the same problem ...Take out wood frame and window...Replace with glassblock...you can find glassblock that gives privacy, while allowing the light to penetrate the space...cultured marble (or the real thing) can be used as a window sill....extend about 3" and you automatically have a small shelf for toiletry items!!

Would it look strange on the outside of the house, if you replace it for a smaller window (in height) and have it higher so the water does not touch the window?
