4 things I want nothing to do with: White beadboard wainscoating below a towel bar. White cabinets near a cookstove. White leather furniture. White living area carpeting. On leather sofa's I like a dusty gray(cause, dust IS grayish) or a medium brown.(because that is the color that rubs off the kids when they come in from outdoors). Not that cleaning regularly won't need it, but when you go white, or black, or forest green, or navy....be prepared for daily touch ups on any surface. If you live in a humid or warmer environment, I am not so sure that leather is practical. It used to be, it had the best cushion material beneath it, but I do not think that is true anymore. If you live alone and rarely have company, you can enjoy all the black and white, navey and forest green you love, but on surfaces that get used, go with something that is easier to live with, cause life with drop in company, children, working men and pets, is challenging enough for the most part. But, that is just me. The other part of the choice is economic. If someone wants to gift you a leather sofa that is white,navy, forest green, or black.. SWEET! White, will yellow in due time, but a gift, is a gift and it will suffice until you determine it's time to move on, and the other colors will make you look twice, when you least have time or energy tooo. LOL

I just like the look of ivory or pale tan leather. Not true white.

I have glossy white cabinets and love them- I can see that they are clean . My question is really if light leather can be easily cleaned if needed.?
