We have a small open plan, so the kitchen and living room are exactly next to each other and all the furniture is medium-dark brown. The dining chairs are the same colours, with the cushioning being cream in fake leather material.

What would you suggest for the sofa? I was given the advice to do it in fake leather and cream as well. But due on planning of getting a dog, I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

I was thinking if light beige would look good but the wall is in that colour so I'm worried it would look weird. And anything darker I think it would be too much since the furniture is on the darker side.
